CP3 for MVP

Chris Paul is the best thing that has ever happened for the New Orleans Hornets team. His statistics ('stats' in sports lingo) are amazing and collectively better than any other NBA player this year. For this reason we are convinced that he should be named the 2007-2008 NBA Most Valuable Player.

BCS Championship Game with LSU!

We watched the BCS Championship Game with Tom and Malle and their kids Vico and Carlo.

Larry and Tom obviously thought it was boring.



But Malle and I had a good time in spite of it.

Long time no post!

It's been a long time since I posted any pictures here, so I last night I decided to do a little catching up.

A few months ago I caught my three kids (Twyla, Siro and Larry) cuddling up together in bed.

Too bad I can't get a picture of all four of us snuggling.

My exciting Hornets experience

On January 30 I got a chance to present the game ball at the New Orleans Hornets game vs the Golden State Warriors. I was so excited! I went out on the court where I was joined by Chris Paul, Hugo the mascot and one of the referees, Mark Wunderlich.

They announced me and I presented the ball to the referee and shook hands with CP and the Ref and Hugo escorted me back to my seat. Wheeeee!

Unfortunately, the Hornets came to the end of their winning spree. I really hope it wasn't my fault.

THANKSGIVING DAY AT STEFF'S - 2007

As usual, Steffy set a lovely Thanksgiving table.

Mikie sipped on "Mimosas".


Larry was sad because Augie wouldn't come inside and play.

Steffy stirred up a great dish of stuffing.


Jay was ready for dinner but Julia was still playing with Sophie, who was under the table.


But she finally got into the spirit and was mighty glad she did!

Steff and Larry were just waiting for everybody to start!

Me??? I'm always ready to chow-down! ;-)

It was another wonderful Thanksgiving Day at Stephany's. The only thing that was lacking was Honey and Doris couldn't make it. We really missed them.

Oh, well...maybe next year.

THIS IS WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR...........!!!

Other than our wonderful Great Dane puppies there's one other that I give thanks for every Thanksgiving day...and that's my wonderful Mr. Larry Lane...my husband of 10 years come December 15.

I love him with all my heart and hope we'll be together as long as I live. ~

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Dylan is fawn Gracie's merle brother and Siro's and Twyla's pal from Across the Pond.

He just made one year old and Siro and Twyla wanted to send a special greeting to him.

They were born yesterday, August 15th and they're two pounds already.

This is a composite of 6 photos I made with one click with Photoshop's Photomerge. I didn't have enough room to take one photo of both Siro and Twyla so I took 6 pix of parts of them and Photoshop took them and automatically pieced them together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Amazing! All I did was lighten the final picture because the originals were kind of dark.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AT PAULA'S

We had a fantastic time in Lake Charles at Paula's on the Memorial Day weekend. We gorged ourselves on crawfish and steaks and marvelous roasted brisket Paula made. We watched Quincy play Soccer with her pal Brandon and hang out with her friends Siro and Twyla and of course, our old friend Mr. Charlie Stebbins.

Our wonderful kids are 3 years old today...June 1, 2007. We couldn't be happier or more proud of them both.

Now this video is a solo act by the always adorable Ms. Quincy Stebbins. Quincy discovered a squeezable, squeakable baseball toy. Not one to need much assistance, she made up her own game with comical results.

The quality sucks because I used my Sony T9 to record the action and not a real video camera, but it was the only camera available. Also, the grass was pretty much dried up and dug up by Siro and Twyla before their guests hit town. (sigh)

OUR LITTLE QUEEN ~

Isn't she gorgeous? If we entered Twyla and her brother Siro into some dog shows they'd probably be winners.

They both inherited the "to die for" straight back from their recently "late" Daddy... Eddie. He'll be missed by all of his siblings and their owners.

They're already winners in our world, though...and we just adore them both. Larry got me a pillow that says, "It's Good to be Da Queen!" but I think I'm believing that pillow suits her more than me.
