Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. We survived Katrina and Rita, we still have our home, we still have our relatives and friends and most importantly...we have each other.
No doubt, this year will be the most meaningful Thanksgiving I've ever had.
Here's a special treat for all of you out there. Happy Thanksgiving from the three of us...
Apple, Larry and Suri.

Another death in the family!
Well... not a REAL family death. It's the refrigerator.
Yes...our poor fridge that we nursed back to health (well, Larry did, anyway) died a few days ago. Everything was going along just fine but then the meat in the freezer started to get a little soft. And the ice cubes started shrinking in size. And the ice cream was just...cream.
Phooey!
So we had to order a new one. Damn! They're expensive! It seems like EVERYTHING is expensive these days.
The good news is we're getting ourselves a really nice Christmas present!!!
The bad news is it's the new refrigerator. The delivery date is December 23.
Double Phooey!!
Larry found a really small refrigerator at Sears that was on sale for $38.00 (I tell you, that man can find the bargains!) but it will only hold a few basics like milk and butter and eggs and cheese and a few other things that have to be iced down. We have an old small refrigerator in the back part of the house that used to be used for beer and soft drinks. That one is now our MAIN fridge. But it's back in the utility room so we'll use the new one, which is parked in the dining room on top of a side table, for stuff we need most often.
Just when you think it's all happened...another shoe drops.
Damn! This monster sure has a lot of feet!
